The year 2020 is around the corner, so it’s almost time for new years resolutions. My primary resolution will most likely be to ‘not start a new project this year’.
Wood Elves Test Model
Two boxes of Athelorn Avengers have been lying on my desk for quite some time now. I’ve been going on and on in my head about options for the paint scheme, and I finally decided to just take out the airbrush and spray on some colours. I wanted the – yet to be named team of Wood Elves – models to look properly Wood Elfy without going for the typical foresty greens and browns. I wanted them to have bright and popping colours without looking too hysterical. And finally I wanted to use the texture and shadows that the body suits create. Here’s how I tried to do all those things.
The Gorm
I got to get all these expansions painted up before Wave 3 and 4!
Warcry in the Deserts of Hysh
Warcry has finally given all of us a good excuse to paint some scenery.
Kill! Maim! Burn!
Time to relive the days of youth my friends! Back when I was only 14 years old and Kharn the Betrayer lead my ragtag bunch of Marines into battle!
Send in the Union!
Get ready for some fierce pastel colours and streaky brushstrokes. Awaiting the release of the Blood Bowl Wood Elves, I painted another kind of Elf team (because yayyy Elves!!) in two colours that scare most painters, including me: yellow and white.
The Fabulous Dead
Noone ever said that you can’t be Undead, and look fabulous at the same time!
The Marienburg Mavericks
Last week I saw a YouTube clip in which the host referred to Blood Bowl as his ‘grail’ game. I feel this is the perfect term to describe what the game is to me as well.
PM Plasma
I’ve not been posting too much on this blog lately, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been painting!
Balloons, Baby
Dwarves with balloons are the ultimate tag alongs for any ship (that’s not a Gunhauler). They don’t cost any space nor slow it down, and actually repair damage that’s dealt. Bring in the Endrinriggers!
